Global growth shouldn’t be a logistical nightmare

Expanding your business into international markets like Europe or Asia is a milestone worth celebrating. However, for many senior leaders, global growth brings a hidden logistical nightmare: revenue recognition and international banking.

I have seen this pattern many times. A company operates out of the US or Australia but has entities around the world. They need to sell in local currencies, like Euros and, more importantly, they need that money banked in that specific country for local accounting and tax compliance.

The problem is that most standard eCommerce platforms aren’t actually built for global business, they’re built for global display. Usually, if a customer buys in Euros, the system automatically converts it to USD on the back end and deposits it into your home bank account.

This creates a massive manual hurdle for your finance team. To satisfy local revenue recognition requirements, they have to reconvert that money and wire it back across the ocean just to get it into the right local account. It is a circular, expensive and time-consuming process. Your tech is literally making you pay a fee to move your own money twice.
