# Most failed deployments aren't bad changes, they're good changes done in the wrong order

The storeconnect-sync-deploy skill teaches AI agents how to get changes onto a StoreConnect store safely, in the right order, with a preview a human approved.

## More AI-written changes are making delivery less stable

AI is helping teams write more, faster, and it isn't all reaching production cleanly. Google Cloud's 2024 DORA research found increased AI adoption was associated with a 7.2% drop in delivery stability[^1]. The problem isn't the code. It's the missing discipline between writing a change and shipping it.

The skill covers the full sequence: confirm the target store, capture a rollback baseline, validate, preview, get human approval, refresh the supported cache, verify the live result and clean up[^2]. Ordering is the substance of the skill.

## Publishing to the wrong store or environment is an incident

On a multi-store or multi-environment setup, the most damaging mistake is the simplest: the right change, sent to the wrong place. StoreConnect's connection binds each session to the store it was started from, and the skill teaches the agent to confirm the store, environment and signed-in identity with a read-only check before any write[^2].

That check matters. IBM's 2025 research found 97% of organizations reporting an AI-related breach lacked proper AI access controls[^3].

## "Submitted" isn't the same as "live"

An agent that reports success the moment a change is submitted can leave your team thinking something shipped when it didn't. StoreConnect's staged workflow has the agent poll the change until it reports a final state, surface every warning or rejection and then read the live content again to confirm the store reflects the approved change[^2]. High-impact changes such as deletes, bulk edits, price changes, theme activation and checkout changes get their scope summarized explicitly before approval.

## Ship every change like it matters, because it does

Your customers only see what reaches the live store. Make sure it's what you approved.

[Get the skills plugin](https://storeconnect.com/ai#SC-ContentBlock-ai-providers). The sync and deploy skill installs with the full StoreConnect catalog, and the Claude, Cursor and Grok Build packages include an `sc-publish` command that walks a change through review, approval, submission and a live check.

[Watch the full demo](https://storeconnect.com/ai#SC-ContentBlock-ai-full-demo). CEO Mikel Lindsaar shows exactly how an agent's change is staged, previewed and approved before it goes live.
