# How Plinqx rebuilt its website on Salesforce with StoreConnect and Claude AI

## Moving Plinqx's website into Salesforce

Plinqx had a problem that will be familiar to many Salesforce teams: its website and Salesforce org were completely separate.

Before StoreConnect, the Plinqx team had to keep the two systems in sync manually. "Our website and our Salesforce org were two separate systems that we had to keep in sync by hand. Case studies, product pages, and partner content lived in a CMS that had no connection to the customer and pipeline data sitting in Salesforce, so every update meant briefing a developer and waiting on a release cycle," explains Graham Nel, who ran Plinqx's project to move their website on StoreConnect.

For Plinqx, the appeal of StoreConnect was its Salesforce-native architecture. "The deciding factor was that StoreConnect lives inside of the Salesforce org and would be a good connection between us and our partners. Pages, articles, products, and store configuration are ordinary Salesforce records, making adding blog posts and other articles much easier," says Graham.

> **"The clearest win with StoreConnect is the work we no longer do: there's no export, import, deployment or reconciliation steps."**

## Building a website with Claude AI and StoreConnect

The biggest change came when Plinqx combined StoreConnect with Claude AI to build their new website.

Rather than creating static designs and then handing them over for development, the team used Claude to work directly with StoreConnect's Liquid templates. Graham describes this as "the biggest shift in how we worked", with the team building an entirely new theme, design system, page layouts and copy through Claude.

The workflow was deliberately practical. The team could send Claude a screenshot of a proposed design and have it create the corresponding Liquid record. Because the AI was working against the actual StoreConnect templates rather than a static mockup, Graham says "there was no translation gap between what we approved and what shipped."

That made the iteration cycle dramatically shorter. "We could iterate on positioning and copy in the morning and have it live in preview by the afternoon," he says.

## Separating website content from design

The new approach also changed how Plinqx manages the website once it is live.

Although the site is not exactly a traditional storefront, its pages, articles and products are native Salesforce records. As Graham explains, "day-to-day content changes no longer require re-deployment". Updating a case study headline, refreshing a partner logo or changing page copy can happen directly against the relevant record in Salesforce.

At the same time, the team can make design changes without putting that content at risk. "Design-level changes — layout, components, styling — stay cleanly separated from that content layer," says Graham. That means Plinqx can redesign an entire section of the website without touching the underlying content, or update content without needing to change the site's design.

## Rebuilding the website without downtime

One of the capabilities that stood out to Plinqx was the ability to stage an entirely different theme against the live store.

"StoreConnect lets you stage an entire alternate theme — a full redesign — against the live store and preview it on the real production domain before anyone else sees it, then cut over with a single, fully reversible field change. We rebuilt our whole site this way with zero downtime and zero parallel staging infrastructure to maintain. Having design and content as separate layers means our preview couldn't affect the live site," says Graham.

Instead of maintaining a separate staging environment, the team could build a full redesign against the real production domain and preview it before anyone else could see it. Once the new design was ready, Plinqx could cut over using a single, fully reversible field change.

The team used this approach to rebuild its entire website "with zero downtime and zero parallel staging infrastructure to maintain." Because content and design remained separate, the new version could be developed and tested without affecting the live experience.

## Bringing Salesforce and AI together for website development

For Graham, the value of the new setup goes beyond simply having a Salesforce-native CMS. It has changed what the team can do directly with AI.

"Claude's skillsets for StoreConnect and Salesforce can make doing so much a lot easier," he says. "That includes site rebuilds, record changes, content delivery and template settings — tasks that can now be handled from the Claude environment rather than requiring the team to work through the traditional Salesforce and development workflow."

The result is a much more direct relationship between the people creating the website and the technology that runs it.

Plinqx no longer has to move content between a CMS and Salesforce, wait for deployments or maintain separate infrastructure just to rebuild its website. Instead, the content, design and underlying Salesforce data remain connected while still being independently manageable.

That shift has changed more than the technology behind the website. For Plinqx, combining Salesforce, StoreConnect and AI makes it easier to turn an idea into something the team can build, test and iterate without the traditional development handoffs.
